    Current username: More than Music

Character’s name: Hugh Phoenix Hutchinson. Goes by Phoenix, if he goes by anything at all.

Character’s approx. age: Young adult; in the 19-25.

Character’s physical appearance: Short strawberry-blond hair and dark eyes. He is thin and not very strong physically, but possesses a sense of mental strength that shows in his face. He wears very simple suits that lack formal and fashionable standards common to the world he lives in. One other trait of note would be his black wings, angelic in style and broad in wingspan.

Character’s personality: He isn’t much of the responsible or concerned sort, nor does he think much of those that are. He is neither a rebel or hero; he prefers to walk the open middle-road, pick his battles carefully — if he picks any at all.

Phoenix has a habit of muttering or speaking very quietly instead of making himself heard, and will often ignore a request to speak up when someone cannot hear him. This is partially his attempt to pick out those with better hearing, which tend to be inhuman more often than not.

He likes quiet and secret fun, enjoys practical jokes but dislikes being seen or caught.

None of his emotions are very elaborate or dramatic; he is phlegmatic by nature and rarely voices his feelings, instead having them reflected in his words and expressions.

AI: Ben Foster as Angel in X-Men, except modified to have red hair and black wings. Wings 1 Wings 2 Face Person

    Hugh Phoenix Hutchinson

Phoenix felt the wind blowing in his face as he leaned against the brick wall. His current location a town he didn’t know the name of, on a much less than thickly populated street. The expression on his face was almost blank, a distant look in his eyes that was often there. He felt a change in the atmosphere around him. Something had stopped in front of him. Slowly looking up, his dark eyes went up about six feet before he found another set of eyes. Phoenix said nothing, not acknowledging them, nor greeting them. He only stared, and they did the same.

It looked human but assuming wasn’t his forte. Just guessing, he thought maybe it was a common street rat, mostly by the way it stood, and the way it looked at him with a mixture of doubt and fear. ‘More than likely, a simple human, making it a person then. And that would mean I may be privileged to call it a ‘him’. Very well. What does he want with me, then? Why is he gawking at me like some sort of Christmas ham? Sir, I do not plan to occupy myself with anything until my brother returns. Victor, I can assume, is off pummeling some poor wretch and will come back particularly pompous. Until then, loneliness is my only company, and I enjoy her very much. Be gone.’

But these thoughts, as can be expected, did nothing to will the man away. Phoenix just looked a different direction and ignored the social contact with the manner of one who rarely speaks. Because that was exactly what he was. And this man seemed similar, because several more minutes passed and neither said a word. Even so, Phoenix seemed to get a feel for what sort of a man the person before him was.

Tense, by the way he flinched whenever Phoenix glanced over, and the way his beady little eyes seemed to be constantly in motion. As if something were chasing him. Cautious, by the way he didn’t speak at all and the way he stood double arm’s length away. Fearful, by the way his lips were trembling and the way Phoenix could imagine the man’s heartbeat because he was breathing so fast.

Phoenix began to walk away, ignoring the man again. ‘Not that I dislike your company, but I really have no intention of making friends… too much trouble involved.’

Someone swooped in behind him; Phoenix could feel the wind created by sudden movement and he heard the man cry out. The man had been attacked. “ Vampyre. ” Sharply turning around, he found himself automatically drawing his gun and his wings spreading out behind him. His expression held cold, he felt the weight of the barrel, which was nearly thirty centimeters in length. The monster saw it and jumped away from its victim, letting the man fall limply to the ground. Phoenix fired, and the impact send the vampyre into a wall ten meters back. The gaping hole in the vampyre’s chest where the bullet had made its home becoming adorned with rolling smoke and strangely colored steam. With a piercing cry that he knew well, the creature crumpled, decaying with incredible speed until it was nothing more than a pile of gray dust.

Calming again, Phoenix slipped his howdah pistol back into the holster on his left hip. He went over and checked the man’s pulse. Dead. He looked at the powder remains of his enemy with no expression, then strode away, his fingers going to the collar of his shirt. Only the first three buttons had been undone, but the sudden heat that adrenaline had sent through his body made him fidget with the fabric until he finally gave in and unbuttoned it the rest of the way.

    ‘Those vampyres.’

I’d like to approve this right away, but I cannot. This is a repeating violation of the rating rules, using another swear word. I have edited the post to asterisk away the problem, but I recently spoke to you about this. As a result, I’m not approving the character for one week, at which time I’ll review the profile. If this happens again I will start a temporary ban from the RPG for this member.

Please refrain from using any language in your posts, and if you really feel it is vital, at least use asterisks to cover the word. Those of us old enough to use that language will be able to figure it out from context, and I would like everyone to keep this place as clean and family-friendly as possible. Thank you.
